One of the things that I’m learning both from writing this blog and from working on my business is that its the accumulation of effort that makes the difference.
I’m one of those people who, when undertaking a task, throw lots of time and effort at it in the beginning until it gets to a spot where I’m sure I can complete within the time frame and then I slack off. Usually right up to the deadline when I then have to throw lots of time and effort into it again in order to get it complete.
Its a silly way of approaching tasks I know, but it works for me.
I can’t do that with this. I have a vision in mind of where I want to be but no idea how I’m planning on getting there. All I can do is just keep plugging away at the tasks, uncovering a bit of information here, a hint of success there, until I have some sort of breakthrough.
I picture the image of a beaver building a dam. At first all he’s doing is dropping sticks in the water but bit by bit, slowly and surely, the pile of sticks grows and a dam takes shape.
It’s actually having some very productive influence on the rest of my life.
I’m feeling in terms of things like fitness and financial wealth that bit by bit, slowly and surely I can make the changes I want to get to where I want to be.
Its very liberating.
